Chief Conductor (2011 - )

The Monash Medical Orchestra (MMO) is a non-profit ensemble that was established in 2011 by a group of passionate musicians who are studying medicine at Monash University. The orchestra performs a variety of repertoire ranging from classical masterpieces to modern contemporary works.

Initiated by Andrew Yapp and Tim Martin and co-founded with conductor Robert Dora, the ensemble has grown rapidly over its first five years, both in terms of orchesta size and musical capabilities. It has conquered many ballet suites, overtures and sound track music and has rcently begun to successfully 'tackle' and perform 'great' but diffuclt works of the 'classical canon', such as Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain, Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture and Beethoven's Symphony No. 5.
Chief Conductor (2015 - )
Over its 50 year history, MonUCS has developed a solid reputation in the musical community in Melbourne. In addition to their own performances, the choir has been invited to perform with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Monash Music Department and with the touring Hong Kong Baptist University choir. While having a large student base, MonUCS is open to all members of the community. The choir is non-auditioned, offering singers of all experience levels the chance to rehearse and perform a wide selection of high quality classical and contemporary repertoire.

Since becoming the choir's conductor at the beginning of 2015, Robert has since guided the ensemble through a plethora of choral works and performances which have included great Masses, under-appreciated compositions from the early 20th century, tantalizing 21st century choral works, spirituals as well as Operetta and Musical Theatre repertoire.

Australian & Asian Orchestra

The Australian & Asian Orchestra (AAO) is a unique and quality community ensemble dedicated to bringing both music and people from Asian and Western backgrounds together. Based in Melbourne, the orchestra performs great known and little known Western classical works alongside symphonic Asian works. Another notable feature of the orchestra’s concerts is regularly giving world premieres performances of original Western or Eastern

Co-founded in November 2013 by Robert Dora & Peter Lim, the orchestra has performed with Nationally or Internationally renowned soloists including Shu- Cheen Yu, Tony Gould and Ji-Won Kim as well as up and coming soloists such as Aaron Klein (Clarinet). The orchestra is comprised of players from a range of backgrounds and musical experiences (they include: semi-professional musicians, community players, university players as well as a few professionals - all of whom donate their time).

The Melbourne Lawyers' Orchestra (affectionately dubbed 'Lawchestra') is a non-profit community orchestra run by volunteers of BottledSnail Productions Inc (BottledSnail). Tackling orchestral repertoire ranging from the 18th - 21st centuries, the orchestra provides members of the legal industry with a creative outlet and a chance to reconnect with music.

Founded in 2013 by Aimee Nguyen and BottledSnail Productions, under the baton of Robert Dora the orchestra has grown from humble beginnings into a dynamic ensemble, frequently collaroating with other groups and artists to produce beautiful performances of much-loved Western Classical music.
